+8 years as Guest Lecturer in colleges and universities, including MGU and SSUS. 2002 to 2009.

Professional Summary

Dr Ajay S Sekher is an Associate Professor and Research Supervisor in the Dept of English at SSUS Kalady. He has sixteen years of regular service. He has successfully supervised six Ph Ds and nine M Phils so far at SSUS. He received Ph D from M G University Kottayam in Aug 2007. His doctoral thesis is on the caste and gender margins represented in postcolonial Indian fiction written in English and in modern Indian languages. His areas of research interests include Postcolonial subaltern studies, Cultural studies, Race and ethnicity studies, gender and caste studies, Kerala Modernity, dalit studies and new literatures, dalitbahujan and Buddhist studies, Interdisciplinary and Inter-sectional critical studies etc. He was awarded Adiyar Deepam Award 2014, Sahodaran Sahitya Puraskaram 2015 and Lord Buddha Universal Award 2017. He received the first Karumadykuttan Puthaka Award 2023 by Kerala Buddhist Council Tvm in May 2023. Ajay Sekher was awarded the Dhammachari Adichan Award 2024 by Ambedkar Mission Tvm. Ajay Sekher's critical writings and translations are published in Indian Literature, EPW, Littcrit, Humanities Circle, MRJ, MLS, Sahitya Lokam and other academic and popular journals. His translations are also in the textbooks of MG, Calicut and Kannur Universities. His recent published titles include:
