Work Experience
Dr. Muralikrishnan T.R. joined this university as professor in 2021. Before that he had 27 years of teaching at UG/PG in various aided colleges under Muslim Educational Society. From 2023 he serves as NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) assessor, taking on the responsibility of Member Coordinator of Peer Teams and plays a crucial role in evaluating and ensuring the quality and standards of HEIs. Formerly he served as NAAC/IQAC Co-ordinator, of MES College Marampally (NAAC Accreditation/Reaccreditation Committee, 2002-13) for two cycles of successful accreditation in 2004 and 2012 respectively. He served as the Director of the SSUS Centre for Online Learning (SCOL) Governing Council from 16.03.2024 to 12.01.2026.

Dr. Muralikrishnan T.R. is a Professor in the Department of English, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit. Formerly he was an Associate Professor and Head in the Department of English in MES Asmabi College Kodungalloor. He was a student of Govt. University College (B.A.English), Mar Ivanios College (M.A.English), Pondicherry Central University (MPhil), and Dept of Linguistics, University of Kerala (PhD). He qualified UGC NET (JRF) examination in 1993. Dr. Muralikrishnan T.R has completed thirty one years of teaching service including 27 years of teaching in various aided colleges under Muslim Educational Society. He was an Approved Research Supervisor to Part Time PhD (Category - B) of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He has produced two PhDs from the University. He has also produced two MPhils from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit. He is a Member of the editorial/reviewer panel in 4 national and international journals. He has authored five books including Discourses in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching (2018) Quality Books Publishers, Kanpur, UP, (ISBN: 978-93-83637-86-7), English Grammar and Usage (2020) published by University of Calicut (ISBN 978-81-94738-00-8), A Textbook of Language and Linguistics (2021) published by University of Calicut (ISBN 978-81-94738-01-5), Functional Grammar and Communication in English published by University of Calicut (ISBN 978-81-95384-63-1). Presently he is the member of Board of Studies, Faculty of Foreign Languages, in Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, Ernakulam. Formerly, he was a member of the Board of Studies PG (English) in MG University and in the UG Board under University of Calicut. For a period of 11 years, Dr. Muralikrishnan T.R had been the NAAC/ IQAC coordinator of the institution for two successful accreditations. He has been part of the group for material production in many Universities (Distance Education/Open Universities) and SCERT (School text). He was part of the Editorial Board in the Journal of Teaching and Research in English Literature, ELTAI Literature Special Interest Group Vol.VI. with ISSN 0975-8828. He is the recipient of ELTRePs India award 2014-15 (ELT Research Partnership) granted by the British Council in 2014. He completed a Minor Research Project financed by the UGC titled “Narratives on Indian Women: Foregrounding the flustered and flummoxed female” in 2011. He holds a B.Ed degree in English from Govt. Training College Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram (1993), PGDELT from RIESI Bangalore (2001), PGDHE from IGNOU (2009) and PGDJ from Press Club Thiruvananthapuram (1993). His articles are now part of the syllabus in various universities.
