The Department of Arabic Language and Literature in University established in the Year 2005, in the regional campus, Tirur. it started with the objective of promoting advanced learning, Scholastic engagements in Arabic Studies, Communication and Translation in Arabic. Since its inception, the department has been committed to preserving the rich linguistic, literarary and Cultural heritage of of the Arabic Language while also addressing its contemporary relevance. the Department has achieved a prominent role in offering the the effectve literary education from the very begining. It has contributed a remarkabe number of teachers in Arabic Language and Literature, translator and proffesionals. Many graduates of this Dept. work in Arab countries in various fields.

• To Achieve distinction in qualifying specialists in Arabic language studies who are able to contribute to their nation for the development of society, maintaining the identity and enhancing the Arabic language by adapting it to the spirit of the modern age.
• To Prepare the students to grab better professions and job opportunities inside and outside the country especially in Arabic countries.
• To enable them to achieve Arabic related academic and non academic jobs in private and public sector of Kerala.
