A Certificate obtained after successful completion of Grade 12 (or equivalent stage of education such as Pre-University, Intermediate, etc.) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade from a recognised Board/University.

• Apply advanced disciplinary knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge to facilitate meaningful learning at the Secondary Stage of school education.
• Incorporate insights from Indian philosophy, Sanskrit knowledge systems, culture, ethics, and heritage into educational discourse and classroom practices.
• Design and implement competency-based, multilingual, inclusive, and learner-centred instructional practices responsive to diverse learning needs.
• Conduct action research, classroom-based inquiry, and reflective professional practices to improve educational effectiveness and learner outcomes.
• Promote educational development through meaningful collaboration with schools, families, communities, and social institutions.
• Demonstrate leadership, innovation, professional commitment, and continuous learning to contribute effectively to educational advancement and societal well-being.

The Four-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) is introduced in accordance with the guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The programme is a multidisciplinary integrated teacher education programme combining disciplinary specialization and professional teacher education leading to the award of BA BEd (Secondary Stage) degree. The programme aims to prepare professionally qualified teachers for secondary school education through integrated academic study, pedagogical preparation, school internship, and community engagement. Candidates may opt for any one of the following disciplinary majors: • Malayalam • English • Hindi • History • Sanskrit (General / Nyaya / Sahitya / Vedanta / Vyakarana)
