Distinguished Lecture Series- Authorship – Theoretical Perspectives,Evolving Themes and Narratives in the Works of William Hogarth and 17th and 18th Century European Art- Department of Painting

The Department of Painting, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, is organizing the Distinguished Lecture Series on 11 September 2026. The programme features two lectures: “Authorship – Theoretical Perspectives” from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and “Evolving Themes and Narratives in the Works of William Hogarth and 17th and 18th Century European Art” from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The programme will feature Shri Benoy P J, Artist, Historian, Poet and Art Critic, as the Key Note Speaker. The inauguration will be conducted by Dr. T S Lancelet, Respected Registrar, SSUS, Kalady, and the programme will be presided over by Dr. T G Jyothilal, HOD, Department of Painting. Shri K K Krishnakumar, Syndicate Member, will be the Guest of Honor.
